A boy again at 72

Pros:
Well Built, Quality~, Comfortable Ride, Priced Right, Looks Great, Matt Green Love The Color, Smooth Ride
Cons:
Best Uses:
I Ride For Pleasure, Mix Hiking With Biking, Fun Ride Until Tired, The Exercise Is A Plus
As a boy I grew up on a bike. A few months ago after open heart surgery I decided to starting riding again. I had to relearn and the Electra Cruiser was perfect! I enjoy riding dirt/light gravel country roads; also some pavement. I live in the foot hills of the Appalachian Mountains so we have some pretty good hills, this is not a mountain bike ( I am looking at the Electra Moto i3 bike for this ) so I had my local bike shop install some front breaks. The Coaster breaks are perfect for level riding with some inclines/declines; please use common since! I can ride up some pretty good hills ( given a good decline power boost) on a fair incline with this single speed; this gives me a good feeling and if I don't make some I do a little better on the next ride. I have had a 3 speed internal hub installed at the local bike shop and I know that I will be able to top some of these hills. The bike weight is fine for me, I am 72 and not into working out,I use a bike carrier a lot. The Cruiser is no trouble loading and unloading form the carrier. There is something about this bike that reminds me of the bike that I had as a boy!

Electra Cruiser 1 - tough and fun!

Pros:
Durable, Stylish, Comfortable, Versatile
Cons:
Best Uses:
Uneven Surfaces, Street Riding, Leisurely Rides, Light Trails
My cruiser is the most fun to ride bike I've ever owned, and it has not given me any trouble at all. Every previous bike I've had ended up not able to shift or with squishy brakes. With the cruiser you get on and go and it's always fun. My favorite thing about riding my cruiser is the smiles and waves I get from other people out and about. I bet they can tell I'm having a good time!

Great Deal

Pros:
Stylish, Versatile, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight
Cons:
Heavy
Best Uses:
Leisurely Rides, Commuting, Bars - Beers - and Bikes
Great bike for cruising! I use it to ride the canal and around old town. Perfect for Sunday-Fundays! Bike is heavy, and not really geared to go fast, which makes you ride slow and enjoy the day. I've crashed this bike several times (too many beers) and besides a few scratches, still rides great!

Nice cruiser; great value

Pros:
Cons:
Best Uses:
Leisurely Rides, Commuting, Street Riding, Light Trails
Nice cruiser with classic lines that guarantees a smile on your face. Great value for the price - I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wheels and tires. There is no better option for a 1-speed cruiser at this price point. The crank-forward design allows you to extend your legs more while pedaling and save your knees. If you're used to riding road, you may at first unconsciously ride this bike fast like a road bike. Eventually, the weight, 44x22 gearing and fat tires will force you to slow down and enjoy the ride at a more leisurely pace! I would suggest upgrading to pedals with smoother bearings and perhaps a more comfortable saddle. I plan to add a front basket for quick trips to the grocery store.[...]

Great Bike

Pros:
Comfortable, Durable, Low gearing
Cons:
Best Uses:
Leisurely Rides, Street Riding
I bought this bike primarily for exercise, but like it so much I now use it for transportation as well. I like the upright riding position and the low gearing which does not require great leg strength (I am 62). It also handles my weight (270) with no problems. A quality ride.

GREAT STYLE, GREAT RIDE!

Pros:
Comfortable
Cons:
Best Uses:
Leisurely Rides
PROS: The Electra cruiser is a great casual rider. This bike has the excellent styling and very comfortable. CONS: The only bad thing I noticed was the peddles scrape the ground when leaning the bike over while cornering. But the lean has to be a very extreme angle. OVERALL: I am buying another one. Electra bikes are so comfortable, fun to ride and cool looking!!
